Every woman dreams of looking and feeling attractive. Nothing boosts your confidence quite like trendy, carefully done eye makeup – and lashes often play the leading role in it. If you’re not happy with the density or length of your natural lashes, false lashes come to the rescue. Among the options out there are magnetic lashes and volume lashes. How are they different? And which one is the perfect choice for you? Read on!
Magnetic lashes vs. volume lashes: the key differences
Magnetic lashes are becoming an increasingly popular choice for women who want to enjoy longer, fuller lashes without having to visit a lash stylist. They usually come as bands with built-in magnets, and you can trim them to the length you need. The styles in our shop are 100% vegan, so you can be sure they’re not only lightweight, but also not tested on animals. We offer both classic full strip lashes and half lashes.
Volume lash extensions involve attaching individual synthetic lashes to your natural ones. They’re made from lightweight materials such as synthetic silk to avoid weighing down your natural lashes. Depending on the technique, you can choose the effect you want. For example, 2:1 volume lashes mean that two synthetic lashes are attached to each natural lash.
Application and durability: how do these types of lashes differ?
The biggest differences between magnetic lashes and volume lashes are in how they’re applied.
You can put on magnetic lashes in the comfort of your own home, even if you’re doing it for the very first time. All you need is a magnetic eyeliner and an applicator with a comb. First, take the strip lashes out of the box and trim them if necessary. Then draw a line of magnetic eyeliner along your upper lash line and wait a moment for the product to start setting. Then place the lashes on it – and you’re done! You can wear Wink Beauty lashes up to 30 times.
Volume lashes, on the other hand, involve a more complicated procedure that you can’t do yourself at home. Applying them requires professional products and glue, and the first salon appointment can take several hours. Fills take a little less time, but for anyone who can’t lie still for long, that can be quite an inconvenience. As for durability, the effect lasts about 6 weeks.
Comfort and safety: which lashes are more practical?
Besides easy application, safety is a huge advantage of wearing magnetic lashes every day for many women. Since all you need to put them on is eyeliner, and the lashes themselves are vegan, they don’t cause allergic reactions or irritation. You can confidently wear them even if you have sensitive skin. They’re also almost weightless and very easy to remove.
When it comes to the safety of volume lashes, it all depends on the products the professional lash stylist works with. Before your first appointment, it’s worth checking whether the glue or other products contain ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction, for example. Many women choose volume lashes because they don’t need to be applied every day. However, they do require special attention when it comes to proper care.
